Today is the first day of the year of the Dragon and our family is in it's second week of celebrating Tet. There was another party this weekend, this time with other families in our town who have adopted children from Vietnam. It was a great party with amazing food and it was so sweet to see all the little girls and boys who have grown so much and become such little PEOPLE since last Tet.
The little ones all really played together this time and as always David and I were happy to see that Adeline is not at all shy and was right in there playing even the roughest of games with the biggest of big brothers and holding her own in her own pink-clad and pony-tailed style!
We didn't get a good picture of Adeline in her ao dai yet this Tet as she was in CONSTANT MOTION, but I'll keep trying. We didn't have one that fit this year, so she borrowed this VERY fancy one from a friend. It's not one I would have chosen, but it's cute on Adeline and she LOVES it.
We've also had family in town in the last little while including Adeline's very special uncle who she usually only gets to see once a year in the summertime. A Tet visit was very special and while he was here it was ALL about Uncle Don.
We'll be continuing to celebrate Tet and are looking forward to a great year of the Dragon, which we hope will be a great one for our family and will bring many wonderful things our way.
