In year's past we've included a picture of Adeline in our Christmas card, but this time we decided to join the amazing modern age and have custom cards printed. So that meant we needed a picture for the front, and of course it wasn't enough for me to just slap on a picture of our pretty girl and call it a Christmas card. No, I needed MORE. So I decided to see what my decidedly beginner digital scrapbooking and photoshop skills could muster and I came up with these...(click to open them bigger)
Through trial and error I learned how to cut Adeline out to use her as an element in the scene. This was something that previously I was convinced I was incapable of. I'm sure my method is very clunky, and yes, I could have just looked up a tutorial, but my way WORKS, and I'm fairly impressed with myself. Seriously - this was SO SO fun for me. We've already sent off the image to be printed on our cards, but I just want to keep playing! We printed the pictures and Adeline was amazed by them. She said "When did I do this with the mice? Was I a baby or a big girl? I look like a big girl, but I don't remember it." Once she realized they were like the pictures in a book she told some amazing stories about her adventures with the mice. Now I'm thinking I'd like to make lots more of these "Adeline Adventures" so that she can create her own stories. So so fun.
