The past two years we have dressed Adeline in her Christmas dress and taken some pictures of her in front of the tree in the days right after Christmas. This year, Adeline is almost three and a half, so everything was a little more difficult. First off she flat out refused. Said "NO" in no uncertain terms. After I said it would make me sad not to have the pictures, she relented and decided to cooperate. Or sort-of cooperate, anyway. She said she HAD to wear her birthday dress. NOT the Christmas dress and NOT the other Christmas dress. It was her pink birthday dress or no way. Not a fight I was willing to have, so the birthday dress went on. She lasted about...12 seconds...and wanted to stop. And there was no way she was going to sit on the stool. Nope. Not going to. Too wobbly, she says, even though she wouldn't even try it. To convince her to stay just a little longer, I let her hold the oh-so-breakable blue fawn which is usually very high up the tree. It's one of my favourite ornaments and it's become Adeline's favourite too. While holding the fawn, she lasted about another 4 minutes, but that was enough to get some really lovely Christmas pictures of my stubborn and contrary beautiful girl.
I sure am happy that you have this blog.
My 2 fav's are Adeline and Santa and her sitting next to the stool, looking up at that dainty reindeer. I would love a hard copies.
Tell her to watch the mail. Since you sew so well, she might want one of the costumes.
Your tree with that beautiful memory angel gives me a smile.
Keep well.

Happy New Year Lisa....!! Yes lots of ice cream. These photos are beautiful. Adeline seems to have a personality like Matteo's...his favourite word is "no" and he definitely is not as keen on photos as he once was....but do love Adeline's choice of dress and the little fawn is a beautiful focus!! Your camera is definitely great!

I like the 4th and the 5th pictures, the way she 's lovingly admired the beautifull fawn, the dress is a nice compliment to your beautifull Chrismas tree.
