But first, the last of the Christmas pictures. What we were planning was a nice-family-portrait-in-front-of-the-Christmas-tree sort of photo shoot, buttttt...wellllllll....
Yeah...we got goofy. There were lots of laughs and the only pictures I like are the playing ones. In the ones where we're trying for "nice normal family" we all look uncomfortable and like we smell something bad. Goofy is so much more who we are!
And look! Pictures of all of us together, which was one of my resolutions last year. I will call it a moderately successful resolution as there are quite a few wonderful pictures of Adeline and David, a handful of good pictures of Adeline and I and some really nice ones of all of us together. I need to keep it going in 2013 though as my first inclination is to hide from the camera.
Speaking of resolutions...Well, I'm not making any. Not right now, anyway. I think I've really internalized Tet as the beginning of our new year as it just doesn't feel like we've turned the page on the old one yet. I've got the end of the year doldrums and hope to have some new year's vigour and enthusiasm after Tet. January is always my hardest month, so I'm taking this month slow and easy and hoping for an early spring. So check back with me in February and maybe I'll make some resolutions and big plans for the Year of the Snake then.
I wish everyone a 2013 of health, happiness and dreams coming true!
