A totally random list of ten things that are making me happy today!
- I thought it was still January, but January is SO OVER. January is my least favourite month of the year so I was thrilled (and a little perplexed) to find out that today is February 4th!
- Everybody was varying degrees of sick last week, but as of today we're all feeling pretty good.
- We've been invited to what I'm sure is going to be a super fun Tet party next weekend.
- Our province finally caught up with the rest of Canada and next Monday will be a holiday - Family Day! February always really needed a long weekend.
- Adeline and I spotted snow drops on the way home from preschool today and talked about how spring is on it's way!
- Adeline's music teacher is going to be a doing a "musical theatre" class for preschoolers and they will do a performance at the end of it. I am ridiculously excited about seeing Adeline in her first performance. Even if she just stands up there and picks her nose and flips her dress up over her head, I know I'm going to burst with pride.
- We aren't rich people, but I'm just feeling really grateful lately for all that we have. I'm so grateful that when Adeline needs something like glasses, we don't have to worry about where we'll get the money or try and figure out what we can do without so that we can get them for her. I can't imagine how stressful it must be to know your child needs something and not be able to give it to them.
- I love the way our house looks when it's decorated for Tet!
- David and I are planning a super fun weekend (or maybe even long weekend) away to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary which is in a month. We have to wait until Adeline's Nana is settled in her new house, but once that's taken care of David and I are going to have some couple time that doesn't involve household projects, garden work or errand running, which is how we usually spend the time Adeline is with her Nana. Now we just have to remember what we used to like to do for fun before we became parents...
- I'm itching to start working in the garden and February is the month to do it! Yay!
I reckon that one year you should solve your dislike for January by coming for a visit to New Zealand - January is a great time of year over here!
