So far so good on the New Year thing... I'm not making any resolutions because I can disappoint myself just fine without adding that pressure. Usually I'm an almost-obsessive list maker, but I've decided to take 2008 as it comes. That's not a resolution, is it? Of course I've got some things I want to get accomplished this year, but I've decided to decide that they're just going to *happen*. There's no need to try, because they WILL happen. Right? Right! Well, maybe. Maybe a list would help make sure they happen? Something with a bulleted list, headings and sub-headings, timelines, deadlines and something called an "action plan"? Breathe, Lisa. Take it as it comes. Everything will happen as it should...
New Year's Eve, David and I had a very quiet night. In fact we were both in bed (me with a headache and a generally crabby attitude) by about 11. New Year's Day was fabulous though. We slept in late and then had luscious, long, warm tubbies in our old cast iron tub with new bath-smellys, new magazines, toblerone and hot chocolate with Bailey's. I considered taking a picture for the blog, but David thought that was going just a bit too far. If only all of 2008 could be as relaxing as the first day of the year!
