Hello scaffolding, goodbye new car for Lisa...
Actually it's goodbye any car for Lisa. We've been a one-car family for a long time, but with Adeline getting older it was time for me to have my own wheels during the day, but now...scaffolding. We'll be getting a new-to-us car, but just the one, which David will need for work. Boo hoo hoo!
It's always something when you live in a house that was built a hundred and eight years ago. We knew this repair to our dormers was coming, but ai yi yi I wish it didn't need to be now and I wish it wasn't turning into such a big job.
The poor cats just can't relax even when the construction guys aren't here and we've discovered that Adeline REALLY still needs a good long afternoon nap, as going without it makes our days wayyyyyyy too filled with yelling and crying.
Once in a great while, when the kids and I just needed to get out for a day, further than I could pull them in the wagon, we would rent a car! It wasn't too expensive and made for a special day that got us through some tough times. The trick was not to plan too much for car-day, but I always did!

Oh bugger :( Houses are money pits. I'm babysitting a 1yr old this week and ftr he goes home one cat wont come out of hiding and the other searches the whole house just to check he is really gone. 3 is a tricky age for napping too, I hope the disruption is short!
