Well, okay, BEST DAY EVER is a wild exaggeration, but there's not a much better feeling in the world than being called for jury duty and then having it cancelled. David had Monday off to do his civic duty, but then he got the email telling him not to show up and he was REALLY REALLY HAPPY. He decided to take the day off anyway, so he was able to take Adeline to preschool, which she thought was a super special treat. Once Adeline was at preschool David and I went to the coffee shop with the homemade donuts that David has been obsessing about interested in for a while. Then we went grocery shopping, just the two of us, which was actually pretty nice. David was also able to pick Adeline up from preschool and watch her Rhythmic Gymnastics class and most importantly, we were able to carve our pumpkins!
Adeline's Nana grew pumpkins in her garden this year. We restrained Adeline from picking ALL the pumpkins to be our jack-o-lanterns, but we did end up with eight. For future reference, we are more of a three jack family. I hollowed out all of them as I know my family aren't the types to like to get "oogy", but everyone did their own faces.
LOVE that last one for sure!!
