Adeline loves playing her violin in the Performing Arts Festival every spring! She always takes on a challenge and she works hard in the months leading up to Festival and when the time finally comes she is eager to get up on the stage, show what she can do and get some feedback from the adjudicator. This year she played two solo classical pieces and was in both a small and large ensemble playing some klezmer/Eastern European music with choreography. For the first time I did see some nerves before her performances, but Adeline did really well and one of her groups was given an award and asked to play at the Honours Concert. This is a "threepeat" for Adeline at the Honours Concert so she's feeling pretty proud.

Three years ago today our family was complete when Miss Vivian joined us! I couldn't be happier that when Vivian needed a Mama that I was the one chosen for that job. The baby we met that day was sick, delayed, hungry and rightfully terrified at being taken from everything and everyone she had known for her first 10 months. It was a long and often hard road over our first weeks and months and even years together but every single day we could see Vivian blossom and it's been amazing to be there to watch her grow and develop. Baby Khanh may have been scared and sick and she hadn't always been given what she needed, but she was SO READY to love and be loved and despite her fear her heart was open. Today at almost four Vivian is happy, confident, loving, creative, bright, opinionated, funny, gorgeous and strong, both physically and mentally. I often send my thoughts out into the Universe in hopes that they can reach the hearts of Vivian and Adeline's first Mothers to tell them that their girls are happy and amazing and loved fiercely.
